Scaly side-eye

Antelope Island, UT, USA, 16 May 2025

I’m a terrible herper, but I do get a thrill when I see reptiles in the wild. This looks like a common sagebrush lizard (Sceloporus graciosus) or side-blotched lizard (Uta stansburiana) to me, but I’m really not sure. I do assume this is a male, however, due to his vibrant coloration. He was territorial towards me, and I gave him distance so we could observe each other comfortably.
